About Our Programs

Every year, our Conejo Valley Branch organizes festivals and recitals in which our students are given the opportunity to perform before an audience. Additionally, a number of these festivals and events are evaluated or adjudicated by highly educated, professional musicians. These festivals and events enhance the cultural life of our community and provide the performing participants an opportunity for musical growth and excellence. All students of our member teachers are eligible to participate in these performances.

Our History

The Conejo Valley Branch of the MTAC was chartered with 12 members in April 1966 and has since grown to include over 90 members. Our organization serves its members and their students in the Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Simi Valley, and Moorpark areas.

Our Board

Our Board is comprised of officers who are elected every two years by the general membership to serve our branch on various levels. The Conejo Valley MTAC board and its directors ensure that our branch follows all applicable laws and regulations governing nonprofits, our Music Teachers’ Association State and Branch bylaws, and ensures our adherence to our branch’s mission and purpose. Moreover, our officers and directors manage our branch resources, organize and oversee events, call meetings, and make recommendations to the general membership.

How MTAC Can Help You

Conejo Valley Branch MTAC networks with various businesses in the community. Many of our programs and events are sponsored by these businesses, including those that provide pianos/instruments, sheet music, and music education. Together we provide a more complete music experience for our members and our students.
